4,000 Circassians, exiled from Eastern Europe, live in Israel today. Concentrated in two villages in the Galilee, jealously safeguarding their unique traditions, this small ethnic community is facing serious challenges to its identity. Their story is seen through the eyes of a single young man, and a single young woman as they try to fulfill their families expectations: to marry and raise children, in a society undergoing crises never before experienced. For the first time ever, we get access to a very closed community, that observes a Muslim way of life, while, at the same time, trying to preserve the legacy that they brought with them from Caucasus.
