Synopsis

Zvi, a young officer in the Israeli defense Force (IDF) and his girlfriend Chen, are on their way to a “rave” in the desert. On their way, they meet a hippie-like guy, who is also on his way to the very same party. The hallucinatory journey of these three characters brings out the stereotypes of young people in the current Israeli reality and deals with one of its most revered institution – the military service. Cast Lior Pearl (Zvi), Idin Rush (Chen), Nir Nikos Keren (Krishna)

"Posioned" has all the ingredients that render the creation of first cinematic fruits a refreshing and surprising experience: Intimacy; honesty, ambition, and a tendency for adventure. The script is convincing in navigating its heroes towards areas of the absurd via an exact depiction of well portrayed character parodies which touch the heart; the cinematography and the editing conjoin in order to pinpoint them in an isolated world, by blurring the boundaries between imagination and reality. In the DiplomaFilm Festival which took place last winter, "Poisoned" won all the important prizes in it's category; Cinematography, Editing, Best Actress (Idit Rash) and Soundtrack.

Nili Landsman, "Ha'ir", May, 2004
